Maitland Ward was left feeling betrayed and questioning her long-standing friendship with Will Friedle following a tense podcast reunion with former TV co-star Danielle Fishel.

AceShowbiz - Maitland Ward isn't holding back after a contentious exchange with Danielle Fishel and her former co-stars on the "Pod Meets World" podcast. What was meant to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane turned into an emotional confrontation that unveiled long-standing tensions.

Ward, better known to fans as Rachel McGuire from the beloved '90s sitcom "Boy Meets World", spoke out following the tense reunion. In an exclusive interview with The New York Post, Ward suggested that the confrontation was orchestrated by Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle.

Ward, aged 48, shared with the outlet that her relationship with Friedle, 48, whom she considered a close friend, has been particularly affected by the incident.

Recounting her feelings, Ward stated, "What's really hurtful about the situation is, maybe she was mad or whatever, and she wanted to bring it up like that, but Will had presented this show to me before like it was going to be so much fun. We're going to talk about old times. The fans are going to love it."

The confrontation reached its peak towards the end of the podcast when both Fishel, 43, and Ward brought up past grievances, with Ward accusing Fishel of snubbing her on the set of the spinoff series "Girl Meets World" and Fishel calling Ward out for her past disparaging comments about her.

Ward claimed she was completely caught off guard by the heated discussion. "I was not going to start anything big with her. We were just going to have conversations," Ward explained.

Ward further slammed Fishel, "She wanted to try to rattle me and she did. I didn't expect it." Ward noted that a heads-up from Friedle could have significantly altered the course of the conversation. "If he knew this was going to happen like this and didn't give me any warning about it, that really sucks," she said.

Ward insisted she once had a strong bond with Friedle, "He has always been a friend to me, I thought. I had been closer to him than I was with the other cast members."

However, the recent events have led her to reassess this friendship. "I can't trust that he would ever watch out for me in a situation or have my back," she added. "He was my connection and he'd always check in."

In the wake of the altercation, fans of "Boy Meets World" have been left reminiscing about the simpler times when there was no drama within the gang. Still, unresolved issues from the past have evidently resurfaced, leaving the future of some of these cherished relationships in doubt.

While Ward expressed her disappointment, she hasn't ruled out mending these fractured friendships, provided there is genuine effort from the other side.
