Lamar's involvement is not entirely unexpected given his earlier collaboration with Marvel on the "Black Panther" soundtrack in 2018. That album, curated by Lamar, featured smash hits like "All the Stars" with SZA and "Pray for Me" featuring The Weeknd.

"All the Stars" received numerous accolades including a nomination for Best Original Song at the 76th Golden Globe Awards and the 91st Academy Awards. The song continues to be celebrated, notably being performed by Kendrick Lamar and SZA at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this past weekend.

Following that electrifying performance in New Orleans, the pair announced the extension of their joint "Grand National Tour," confirming stops across Europe and North America. The trek is expected to feature hit singles by both artists including Drake diss track "Not Like Us", which earned K. Dot multiple Grammys.

Lamar's "Captain America" song will be his first new material since his 2024 album "GNX," which has kept his presence strong in the music world.
