AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan has made it clear that he remains a steadfast supporter of Jonathan Majors despite his conviction of assault and harassment in 2023. In a recent interview with GQ, Jordan praised Majors' resilience and strength in handling the situation.
"I'm proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and [his] handling [of] it," Jordan said. "I'm glad he's good. That's my boy."
While Jordan avoided directly commenting on Majors' arrest and conviction, he acknowledged that it was a "tough situation" to witness. But he's happy for his pal's engagement to Meagan Good.
When asked if he would work with Majors again, Jordan answered with an emphatic "Yes, yes."
Majors' legal issue prompted his dismissal from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he played Kang the Conqueror. Despite this setback and the loss of other high-profile projects, Jordan believes in Majors' ability to rebound.
"The world is finding out daily how incredible this man is," Jordan said. "The work that he does is finally getting the props, you know, the props that it's due."
Majors' upcoming film, "Magazine Dreams", which had been delayed due to his legal troubles, is now set for a March 21 release. Jordan has shown his support for the project by sharing its trailer on Instagram.
Jordan's loyalty to Majors stemmed from the strong bond they formed while working on "Creed III". He spoke highly of Majors, calling him his "running mate and scene partner."
"Me and him bonded in a way that I've never had the opportunity to before," Jordan said. "This was my first time directing and that relationship between director and actor, I understand that now. It's a bond that will last forever."
