AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a special appearance at the Invictus Games 2025 welcome reception in Vancouver, Canada. Just hours after arriving, Meghan took the stage for an unscripted speech before sharing a kiss with her husband.
Expressing her excitement to be back on Canadian soil, Meghan praised the Invictus Games and noted its importance to her husband.
"With families...the big rush in the morning, and my husband is in all of that with us," she said of Harry's hands-on approach as a father. "He'll be on his phone, and Archie will be like, 'Papa, why are you on your phone?' And he says, 'Because it's Invictus, I'm getting ready for Invictus.' "
Meghan emphasized Harry's unwavering support for the athletes. "You are his family just as we are his family," she said. "And I hope you recognize how much of his heart he has poured into every single beat that has gotten all of you to this week."
Before inviting Harry to the stage, Meghan said their children, Archie and Lilibet, were "cheering" from California. The crowd erupted in applause as Harry entered the stage and greeted Meghan with a kiss. "What a beautiful sight," he remarked.
The Invictus Games, founded by Harry in 2014, is a sporting event that celebrates and empowers wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans. This year's Games will feature winter sports for the first time, returning to a previous host country after previous cycles in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, The Hague, and Düsseldorf.
Meghan and Harry have been regulars at the Invictus Games since their first official joint appearance at the Toronto Games in 2017. Their visit to Canada marks their first official public appearance together in nearly six months.
