AceShowbiz - Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA icon Michael Jordan, has publicly addressed his recent arrest on charges of DUI, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest. Taking to social media on Thursday, Marcus acknowledged the situation but made it clear he won't be commenting further.
"I appreciate everyone reaching out. I'm focusing on @trophyroomstore right now and won't be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life," he wrote on Instagram, referring to his Florida-based boutique, The Trophy Room.
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, February 4 when police discovered Marcus' Lamborghini SUV stranded on train tracks in Maitland, Florida. Body camera footage saw him name-dropping his famous dad, "I'm Marcus Jordan. I'm Michael Jordan's son. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn."
Police reported that Marcus Jordan showed signs of intoxication, including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol. Despite claiming his blood alcohol content was under the legal limit, he failed three field sobriety tests. During the arrest, officers also discovered a small bag of white powder that tested positive for cocaine.
According to TMZ, Jordan resisted his arrest and started singing while being transported to Orange County Jail, where his bail was set at $4,000.
This isn't Jordan's first run-in with the law; he previously pled no contest to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in 2012.
As the legal proceedings continue, Marcus Jordan's focus remains on his business, though the severity of the charges ensures this won't be the last we hear of this story. "I sincerely appreciate your concerns & thank you for your kind understanding," he concluded.
