AceShowbiz - Black Eyed Peas announced the cancellation of their upcoming residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's PH Live. The group, consisting of will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap, cited "current circumstances" as the reason for the cancelation.
In a statement posted on their Instagram Story, the band wrote, "To our dearest Peabodies, It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned." They added that ticket providers will issue full refunds automatically.
Announced in September 2024, the residency, titled "Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Experience," was set to launch on February 15 with 15 shows scheduled through May.
Although the specific reason for the cancellation was not disclosed, it is likely related to the ongoing wildfires in Southern California, which have caused significant loss and destruction in recent weeks. Taboo, a member of the group, owns a home in Altadena, where the Eaton Fire broke out.
The Black Eyed Peas have been one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time, with six Grammy Awards and countless hit singles to their credit. Their most recent album, "Elevation," was released in 2022.
The group's announcement comes as a disappointment to fans eagerly anticipating their performance in Las Vegas. The band has promised to keep followers updated on future performances.
