AceShowbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus, a seasoned country music artist known for his hit "Achy Breaky Heart," encountered a turbulent performance at the Liberty Ball held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., celebrating President Donald Trump's inauguration. The 62-year-old musician found himself grappling with technical issues that nearly derailed his set.
Cyrus kicked off his performance with a rendition of "Old Town Road," a song that has brought him newfound fame in collaboration with Lil Nas X. However, the celebration was quickly disrupted when Cyrus realized his guitar was not functioning properly.
"Is my guitar still on? I think they cut me off. I don't hear my guitar anymore," Cyrus was overheard saying to the stage crew. Despite his best efforts, the issues persisted, leading to an awkward sequence.
"Is anyone awake?" and "Can somebody turn my guitar back on?" he repeatedly asked the technical guys. His tone grew more frustrated as he fumed, "Y'all want me to sing more or you just want me to get the hell off the stage? I don't give a damn."
Thankfully, the issues were solved and the singer was able to resume his set. He said while praising the newly-inaugurated President, "When you have technical difficulties you got to just keep going - or as President Trump would say, you got to fight!"
A similar technical glitch also plagued Carrie Underwood's performance earlier in the day. Her performance was delayed due to sound issues, prompting the "American Idol" alum to deliver an impromptu a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful".
