Hollywood's infamous feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson have seemingly put their past differences behind them with an awkward nod at the 2025 Golden Globes.

AceShowbiz - What once seemed like a huge rift between Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took a hopeful turn at the recent Golden Globe Awards. As Diesel took the podium to present the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, he greeted Johnson with, "Hey Dwayne." The Rock, smiling in return, seemed to accept this unexpected olive branch.
For nearly a decade, Diesel and Johnson's feud overshadowed their careers. It all started during the filming of the franchise's eighth installment, "The Fate of the Furious", in 2016. Johnson's social media post targeting some of his co-stars as "chicken s***" and "candy a**es" didn't name names but sparked widespread speculation and later confirmation that Diesel was his target.
Despite the tension, Diesel made several attempts to mend fences over the years. In November 2021, he even issued a public plea for Johnson to return to the franchise, mentioning how his children regarded the former wrestler as "Uncle Dwayne" and recalling a promise he made to the late Paul Walker. However, Johnson criticized Diesel for bringing personal elements into the plea, accusing him of manipulation.
The two eventually found common ground in 2023. Johnson announced his return for "Fast X: Part 2", set for release in 2026, and shared on social media, "Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We'll lead with brotherhood and resolve - and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love."
This mutual understanding was on display at the Golden Globes, where fans keenly observed their brief but telling interaction.
While some in the audience may have found the moment awkward, it marked a significant step forward in their relationship. The duo's reconciliation promises a new era for the "Fast & Furious" saga, leaving behind years of animosity for the sake of the franchise and its dedicated fan base.
As Johnson noted, despite their differences, they have been "like brothers for years." With bigger plans on the horizon, both stars seem committed to making amends and focusing on the future. Hollywood, and indeed the fans, eagerly await what this unified front will bring to the beloved franchise.
