The 'Fast and Furious' actor thrills fans as he hints at reprising his Marvel role in a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' spin-off centering on the fan-favorite sentient tree-like creature.

AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel, famously known for his roles in the "Fast & Furious" franchise and as the voice of Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has teased a thrilling lineup of projects for 2025. Among these, a potential standalone movie focusing on his Marvel character is generating significant buzz.

"Disney wants their Planet X! Which some say is Marvel's most anticipated movie, haha. The film where Groot returns to his home planet," Diesel posted on Instagram.

This hints at an exciting new chapter in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" saga, where fans might follow Groot's journey back to his origins on Planet X.

Diesel first voiced Groot in 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy" and continued through "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" in 2017, "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018, and "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019. He also made a cameo in 2018's "Ralph Breaks the Internet".

More recently, Diesel reprised his role in 2022's "Thor: Love and Thunder" and 2023's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3", as well as in the Disney+ series "I Am Groot" and 2022's "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special".

Apart from the Marvel universe, Diesel's plate for 2025 is loaded with other high-stakes projects. He mentioned he is working on "Fast X: Part 2", a "Rock'em Sock'em" adaptation, and new installments of beloved franchises including "xXx", "Riddick", and "The Last Witch Hunter".

Of particular note is Diesel's push to bring "Fast X: Part 2" back to its roots in Los Angeles, aiming to support the local community after devastating wildfires.

"Last week, during the fires that displaced LA… my sister Jordana [Brewster] reached out to me and said… Please have Universal film the rest of Fast X Part 2 in LA," Diesel shared, emphasizing the region's need for economic support.

Diesel continued, "Los Angeles needs it now more than ever… Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home. All love…"

With Groot's potential solo adventure on Planet X and the "Fast & Furious" return to LA, 2025 is shaping up to be an electrifying year for Vin Diesel and his fans. The actor's multifaceted projects are sure to cater to a wide audience, bringing a mix of action, adventure, and heartfelt storytelling.
