Comedian Nikki Glaser brought her A-game as she hosted the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, delivering a night of laughs with the right amount of biting humor.

AceShowbiz - The Golden Globes of 2025 were anything but boring, thanks to host Nikki Glaser, 40, who had the audience and viewers in stitches with her witty jabs and clever monologue. Known for her roasting prowess, Glaser managed to balance humor with tact, ensuring that the celebrities in the room could laugh along without feeling attacked.
"This feels like I finally made it. I'm in a room full of producers at the Beverly Hilton and this time all of my clothes are on. It was worth it," Glaser quipped, seemingly taking aim at Hollywood's casting couch scandal while setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
She continued with sharp observations about the industry, getting a little bit political as she delivered her next jab, "I'm not here to roast you. You're all so famous, so talented, so powerful. I mean, you could really do anything - except tell the country who to vote for. But it's okay. You'll get them next time!"
Some of her most memorable jokes targeted Hollywood heavyweights such as Harrison Ford, 82, and Glen Powell, 36, both nominated for their work in "Shrinking" and "Hit Man," respectively.
"The legendary Harrison Ford is here tonight," Glaser gave the actor a shout-out before poking fun at his alleged love for weed - or in this case indica. "I was actually talking to Harrison backstage and after he gave me his drink order, I said, 'Would you rather work with Zendaya or Ariana?' And he said, 'Indica.' "
Glaser didn't stop there. She playfully teased Glen Powell for his hot looks and busy schedule, saying the actor was everywhere even in her head when she was in bedroom with her boyfriend. "Thank you so much for the assist. I'll see you tonight," she quipped.
The comedian also delivered a cheeky roast of Ben Affleck, 52, name-dropping some of the nominated movies like "Wicked", "Queer", "Nightb****" and saying "these are not just words Ben Affleck yells" after he climaxes. The audience roared with laughter, appreciating the sharp humor.
When it was Timothee Chalamet's turn, Glaser mocked his moustache as "the most gorgeous eyelashes on your upper lip." The actor was a good sport, laughing along with her girlfriend Kylie Jenner who was seated next to him.
Nicole Kidman, 57, Adrien Brody, 51, and Selena Gomez, 32, were also in Glaser's comedic crosshairs. Speaking about Kidman who had a hectic year, she said, "Thank you for working so hard, and thank you to Keith Urban for playing guitar around the house so much that she wants to leave and make 18 movies a year."
Although she avoided some of the controversial topics like Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the funnywoman still managed to savagely diss P. Diddy over his infamous parties.
She started off with Zendaya Coleman, "Zendaya you were incredible in Dune. I woke up for all of your scenes," before cheekily comparing another Zendaya movie "Challengers" to Diddy's "credit card."
She went on, "The after party is not going to be as good this year, but we have to move on. I know 'Stanley Tucci Freak Off' doesn't have the same ring to it." She added, "No baby oil, just lots of olive oil," referring to Tucci's Italian foodie show.
Glaser was merciless even to herself. As she lost Best Performance in Stand-up Comedy on TV to Ali Wong, the host quipped, "I'm a first-time Golden Globe loser, Nikki Glaser. You know what? I may not have won tonight but on the bright side, I just made $11,000 betting on Ali Wong on a European gambling site. So, you lose some, you win some."
While Glaser's jabs were sharp, she maintained a line of respect, avoiding anything too scathing. "I don't want to ruin their nights, and I certainly don't want them to remember my name for the wrong reasons," she explained her safe approach before the show. She wanted her jokes to be edgy enough to please viewers at home but not offensive to the stars in attendance.
