AceShowbiz - The fallout between "It Ends with Us" co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is far from over with both sides taking legal action against multiple parties involved in the drama.
Following her initial complaint with the California Civil Rights Department and Baldoni's legal action against New York Times over her story, Lively filed a lawsuit against the former "Jane the Virgin" actor, his publicists, and Wayfarer Studios in the Southern District of New York on December 31.
Lively alleges misconduct, smear campaign in retaliation, and other serious claims. Her legal team stated that this action was necessary due to continued retaliation from Wayfarer Studios after she reported her concerns.
This lawsuit comes on the same day Baldoni and other plaintiffs, including the publicists named in Lively's suit, filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. They claim the newspaper "cherry-picked" information and omitted context in its reporting on Lively's allegations, portraying a misleading narrative.
Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, vehemently denies Lively's accusations, calling them "completely false" and part of a "vicious smear campaign." He argues that Lively's lawsuit aims to rehabilitate her public image and manipulate the narrative surrounding the film's production.
Both sides have released statements outlining their respective claims and vowing to pursue legal action to defend their positions. This legal battle has now entered a new phase, with both parties seeking legal recourse and public vindication.
