Rising above the challenges of co-parenting with a familiar face can be tough, and Kristin Cavallari is no stranger to this struggle as she faces 'zero consistency' with her former husband.

AceShowbiz - Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kristin Cavallari recently opened up about the complexities of her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband Jay Cutler on the "Dumb Blonde" podcast. She lamented the "zero f***ing consistency" in their dynamic, an issue that has made their efforts to raise their three children together challenging, to say the least.
Cavallari, 37, and former NFL player Cutler, 41, share three children: Camden, 12, Jaxon, 10, and Saylor, 9. Their marriage, which lasted from 2013 to 2020, was marked by ups and downs, just like their "bumpy" co-parenting. She admitted, "[It's] really hard. It has not been easy, to say the least," describing a single positive moment they shared during a basketball game earlier in the year.
"We sat together at a basketball game earlier in the year, and I was like, 'Holy f***, this is the best thing that's ever happened. Jesus Christ, we made it. We can sit next to each other,' " Cavallari recalled. "And we haven't sat together since, so I don't f***ing know."
Despite their attempts at co-parenting, Cavallari expressed skepticism about spending holidays together as a family in the future. The absence of a "family unit" during Christmas especially affects her, something she finds disappointing given her background with divorced parents.
"Coming from divorced parents, the last thing I ever wanted was a divorce. I won't lie to you. That still will creep up once in a while. … It just sucks that we're not together as a family," she said.
Cavallari also disclosed her struggles with letting go of their tumultuous past. She accused Cutler of being a "pathological liar" and addressed rumors about his alleged affair with her friend and "Very Cavallari" co-star Kelly Henderson. "Do I know for sure? No," she admitted. "There are things from my marriage that I will never know, and I've just sort of had to let that go. I'm over it now."
She explained why she had trust issues with her former husband, "Jay used to trash her, which I now sort of think if a guy is trashing a girl, there is probably something going on. When you're dealing with a pathological liar, it's hard to know what the f***ing truth is."
While Cavallari acknowledged that she may never receive an apology from Cutler, she emphasized the necessity of empathy and forgiveness. "People who are lying to you or are cheating, that's because they're hurt," she said. "That's about them. That has nothing to do with me."
The journey of co-parenting is fraught with difficulties, but Cavallari remains hopeful as she navigates this new chapter of her life, focusing on her children and personal growth.
