In an unexpected turn of humility, Eminem, one of hip-hop's legendary figures, has openly declared Kendrick Lamar as the likely frontrunner at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

AceShowbiz - 2024 has indeed been a monumental year for Eminem. The iconic rapper dropped "The Death of Slim Shady", marking his most acclaimed album in years. Alongside a few hit singles, Eminem also delighted fans with an intriguing rollout that included an interview with his alter ego, Slim Shady. With such a significant comeback, many anticipate that Eminem will snag several nominations in the rap categories when the Grammy Awards come around in 2025. However, Eminem himself does not expect to take home any awards. Instead, he predicts a clean sweep by none other than Kendrick Lamar.

In a recent radio interview on Christmas Eve, Eminem graciously accepted praise for his album but described the competition in his categories as "very stiff," primarily due to Kendrick Lamar's dominance. "Kendrick's gonna sweep that s**t. He's going to and he should," Eminem candidly told the host. Such humility should come as no surprise to those familiar with Eminem, who has consistently acknowledged the artists that inspire him. Over the years, he has credited Lamar and J. Cole, among others, for pushing him to elevate his craft.

Eminem's admiration for Lamar goes beyond mere acknowledgement. He stated that his desire to be the best rapper alive keeps him continually recording and attuned to the outputs of artists like Lamar. "I hyper-focus on people like Kendrick Lamar, Joyner Lucas, J. Cole and Big Sean," he said. "Watching them and how the **** they're doing their s**t. Because they're also focused on being the best rappers." The influence evidently goes both ways, as Kendrick Lamar has previously cited Eminem as a significant influence on his rhyming style.
