Reflecting on her short-lived marriage, Blanchard admitted to PEOPLE, "It was kind of like my first shock of holy crap. I'm married." She realized that the relationship was "kind of pushing on to just do what everybody else does in life, but you're just settling."

The pair resolved their financial disagreements in court, and Blanchard expressed a desire for a civil conversation for closure purposes, though Anderson waived his right to attend the court date.

Blanchard's story has been one of redemption and self-discovery. After serving seven of her ten-year sentence for second-degree murder in the killing of her mother, Clauddine "DeeDee" Blanchard, she was released in December 2023. Blanchard's ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, remains behind bars, serving a life sentence for his role in the same crime.

Blanchard has since moved on and reunited with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker. Their rekindled relationship brought joy and a deep emotional connection. "I felt a soul connection with Ken where I felt like I could be myself," Blanchard told PEOPLE. "I could open up about that stuff. We're doing really good."

The couple is now expecting their first child, a baby girl due in January 2025. Blanchard is excited for motherhood and held a baby shower in Louisiana, surrounded by family and friends. She revealed the name of her daughter as Aurora Raina Urker and gushed about the supportive environment she now enjoys. She is also filming a new season of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up" and is set to release her memoir, "My Time to Stand," in December.

Despite her struggles, Blanchard is focused on creating a better future for her family. "For the first time in my life, I'm doing something that makes me happy - I'm prioritizing me," she said, emphasizing her newfound independence and commitment to living a fulfilling life.
