Following his alleged latest rehab stint, the former cast member of 'Saturday Night Live' reportedly has been focusing on his sobriety while also planning for his career.

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson is slowly figuring out his next career move amid his sobriety journey. Following his alleged latest rehab stint, the former cast member of "Saturday Night Live" reportedly has been focusing on his sobriety while also planning for his career.

A source told The U.S. Sun in a report published on Thursday, December 5, "Pete had an issue, so he went to rehab." The insider added, "That took time, and he's still trying to restore normalcy to his life."

The source noted that the "Bupkis" star has yet to jump back into working. The comedian has allegedly been considering roles while getting better with his mental health issues. "He had a problem, he got help for it, and he is completing proper post-rehab treatment," the informant continued.

It was also said that Pete deliberately took a sweet time to get back to work. "He's being smart about it," the insider said of "The Suicide Squad" actor. "If he rushed to work right after rehab, it would be like, 'Was he really even taking this seriously?' "

The source further divulged that the former fiancee of Ariana Grande is "putting himself right in the middle of it." Additionally, the star actually "is treating the situation, in the way people in his life had hoped he would. He could be doing more roles, but he wasn't in the right frame of mind to take them at the time. He's gotten several different offers. He gets things consistently, almost every week."

Despite his hiatus, the source believed that Pete doesn't have to worry about his future in Hollywood. "The fact is, he's in a good place and he's at an age where he still has a lot of runway ahead of him." said the insider. "This is a guy who is both complicated, but yet very simple. He had his issues, and now he is working his way through them."

Last month, Pete was reported to have checked himself into a rehab facility for a second time this year. A source claimed at the time that he entered rehab following his split from "The Bachelor" alum Maria Georgas.

Maria, however, denied having a romantic relationship with the actor. She also shut down rumors regarding Pete's rehab stint. However, another report suggested that Pete's circle pressured Maria to publicly deny their fling and the rehab claims.
