AceShowbiz - Darius Jackson might have exposed himself. The baby daddy of Keke Palmer was heavily trolled online after he admitted in an Instagram post that he had to contact the actress regarding their son's birthday during a hospital visit.
On Thursday, December 5, the Internet personality recalled on Instagram Stories the moment he took their son Leodis to a doctor appointment. "Took Leodis to his doctor's appointment back in September & barely knew his date of birth….," so he wrote.
He continued, "His mom was on speed dial & the nanny also helped answer the other questions [laughing face emoji] but we got it done! Which is all that matters."
While Darius seemed to think it was a funny episode, some Internet users disagreed. Slamming him, one questioned in an Instagram comment, "How don't you know your own sons date of birth?" Another added, "This is literally not a flex wtf??" Similarly, someone else wrote, "This is nothing to brag about sir."
Some others, meanwhile, thought Darius set himself up with the post. "Should've kept this to yourself ppl already don't like you…," one person said. Echoing the sentiment, another penned, "not knowing your kids birthday is pathetic. you should've kept that to yourself." Another commented, "Ain't nothing funny about that! Shows who's really around and taking care of the child fr."
This wasn't the first time Darius sparked controversy with his social media post. Last year, he received backlash after shading Keke for "showcasing" her "booty cheeks" at Usher's concert. Things got worse when he accused the "Nope" star of abuse and filed for a restraining order against her.
Of the situation, Keke shared in an interview with PEOPLE, "It got so out of control. And the only way I knew how to bring order or control to something was through the court… having a baby was a big stressor… with family and friends, it's always become a burden. Too many voices get in… It's hard to explain."
The former child actress, however, noted that things have been much better since then. "I wish I could say he was terrible the entire time or that I was… but it wasn't that black-and-white, and that was the problem," she explained. "Walking away is the only way… Nonetheless, I'm so proud of him and happy for him. I feel very at ease now knowing things are under control."
