AceShowbiz - Rapper Latto (Mulatto), despite her success, remains concerned about Eminem's opinion of her. She shares her awkward encounter with the legendary artist, her father's admiration for Eminem, and her experience as a judge on "Rhythm + Flow".
Despite being a prominent star in the rap and hip-hop world, Latto admits to being anxious about Eminem's thoughts on her. During an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show", the 25-year-old rapper revealed a surprising interaction she had with the 52-year-old icon.
When asked by Jennifer Hudson about her experience having Eminem as a guest judge on "Rhythm + Flow" season 2, Latto expressed her initial shock and nervousness. "I was like, 'Oh, I bombed that. He thinks I'm weird,' " she recalled.
Referencing Eminem's revelation that he's a fan of her music, Latto said, "My daddy listened to Eminem so much growing up that's, like, probably his favorite rapper. So, it was just like, 'Oh, don't lie to me. For real?' "
Despite Eminem's positive feedback, Latto couldn't help but worry that she had come across as awkward. "He probably thinks I'm a little awkward," she admitted.
As a judge on "Rhythm + Flow" alongside Ludacris and DJ Khaled, Latto explained to Hudson that the series provides her with the opportunity to mentor young aspiring artists, something she lacked before her fame. She added that it has reignited a fire within her, reminding her of her own journey.
Despite her success on "Rhythm + Flow" and her previous win on "The Rap Game" in 2016, Latto emphasized that she identifies primarily as an artist. "I'm a rapper. I make music. I'm not a reality TV star," she stated.
