AceShowbiz - Matt Rife has responded to rumors about his appearance. After claims suggesting that he had plastic surgery circulated online, the former "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out" star credited his late puberty for his chiseled jawline.
The 29-year-old comedian and actor opens up about his look in his new book titled "Your Mom's Gonna Love Me", which will hit bookshelves on Tuesday, December 3. In it, he reveals the real reasons behind his different appearance.
Matt writes, "Puberty, after its sweet time for more than 20 years, finally decided to hit me square in the face. Over a few months, I went from looking like a 13-year-old to look like, you know, my actual age. Like an actual grown-ish man. My face got wider, my features became more prominent, I grew a few inches taller."
In the same book, Matt also mentions his workout routine with fellow comedian Dane Cook that may also have contributed to his changing look. He shares, "I started every day off by lifting. It cleared my head."
Matt further blasts plastic surgeons, who commented on his look, for having a "frightening lack of common sense." He asks, "Can the medical board please just issue an official certificate telling you to get a life?" before adding, "As a comic, you're supposed to make the audience like you, right? Well, who the f**k likes attractive people? No one!"
In August, Matt became a hot topic on social media over his different appearance. After his Netflix special titled "Matt Rife: Lucid - A Crowd Work Special" was released in August, social media users began discussing his look, especially his jaw.
Later on, plastic surgery nurse Tara Adashev claimed to The U.S. Sun that Matt "could have had cheek implants." Tara told the outlet, "He has a lot of volume in his jawline and could have had cheek implants added and/or buccal fat removal. It all looks like he has done something surgically, so not necessarily fillers. Matt has had something done to shift his face. He likely spent around $10,000 on these facial elements as a one-off."
