Despite the recent engagement news on November 29, Allen has danced around the issue. After a victory on December 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, he described playing as a fiance as "free."
Following Allen's breakup with Brittany Williams, he was spotted with Steinfeld in New York City in May 2023. Two months later, they confirmed their relationship with a kiss in Mexico. In March 2024, they appeared together in a social media video for Allen's sister.
Their relationship became more public in July 2024 when Allen posted a photo of them on Instagram. That same month, Steinfeld posed for a photo with Allen's family.
Allen and Steinfeld have shared some personal details, including a funny Christmas gift exchange. Last year, Steinfeld gifted Allen a knife for cooking, and he reciprocated with a similar knife in a different colorway. According to an old wives' tale, gifting knives brings bad luck unless money is exchanged, so they paid each other quarters to ward off any negativity.
