Queen Camilla will miss parts of the upcoming diplomatic event in the U.K. due to ongoing diminished energy reserves stemming from a viral chest infection.

AceShowbiz - Queen Camilla, 77, will be unable to participate in the ceremonial kickoff of Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's state visit on Tuesday. According to Buckingham Palace, her absence is due to "lingering side effects" of a recent chest infection, which have left her with "diminished reserves of energy."
Initially, Camilla was scheduled to welcome the Emir alongside King Charles III at the Horse Guards Parade, followed by a carriage procession. However, Prince William and Princess Kate will now assume these duties.
Despite her initial absence, Camilla is expected to attend a lunch at Buckingham Palace after the event.
This cancellation comes almost a month after Camilla was forced to cancel previous engagements due to a chest infection. Palace spokespersons initially advised a short period of rest, offering no further details on her condition.
Weeks later, Camilla appeared to recover and hosted a reception at Clarence House in London to celebrate the authors of the 2024 Booker Prize.
A Buckingham Palace source confirmed that while Camilla's initial diagnosis remains unchanged, she needs more time to rest. The changes to her schedule, which would have involved significant time spent outdoors or standing, were made on the advice of doctors to protect her from the cold temperatures expected on Tuesday.
Camilla contracted the illness a month ago during a trip with King Charles to Australia, Samoa, and India. She has gradually returned to public duties after a period of rest, but with some changes to her schedule.
