Amid the escalating tensions between Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar, rumor emerges that Weezy tried to call K.Dot about his 'GNX' lyrics but the 'Not Like Us' rapper didn't respond.

AceShowbiz - When Kendrick Lamar released his new album, "GNX", he sent shockwaves through social media, with listeners eagerly dissecting its content. Among its many provocative tracks, the album opener "Wacced Out Murals" has sparked significant buzz due to its allusions to Lil Wayne.

Lamar, on the track, makes a reference to Wayne, "Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down." The Compton rapper's lyrics seemingly address the controversy surrounding his upcoming performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans, a gig many thought should have gone to the Big Easy's own Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne himself didn't hold back his disappointment, expressing his feelings on multiple occasions. Calling the snub "a letdown," he admitted, "It hurt, it hurt a whole lot."

Meanwhile, in response to K.Dot's new song, Wayne warned he would not tolerate any further disrespect, "Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let's not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love."

On Wednesday's episode of his Podcast, Joe Budden claimed that Lil Wayne attempted to reach out to Kendrick to clarify his intentions behind the lyrics, but was met with silence by Kendrick. "I'm hearing that somebody picked up the phone and tried to call and see what the energy was. I'm hearing that Kendrick didn't answer," Budden shared.

According to Budden, Wayne's dissatisfaction prompted him to hit recording booth to potentially record a response to Kendrick's lines. "If I'm calling you rapper to rapper and you don't answer," Budden remarked, "You have until I get in that booth to hit me back. I'm hearing that Wayne went in the booth."

As fans eagerly await to see if Lil Wayne's alleged diss track sees the light of day, Budden and his co-hosts debated whether the New Orleans native would be able to stand up against Kendrick Lamar, who has been on an incredible high in recent months.

This emerging tension between two of hip-hop's titans has undoubtedly captivated the rap community. While the situation further unfolds, it remains to be seen if this brewing storyline will lead to a new chapter in hip-hop rivalries or be resolved amicably.
