AceShowbiz - Disturbing CCTV footage obtained by the Daily Mail shows One Direction singer Liam Payne being hauled through the lobby of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. The video, timestamped at 4:54 P.M. on October 16, 2024, captured the shocking moment where three men carried Payne, who appears unconscious, out of the main lobby.
According to a Daily Mail report, Payne had been acting erratically in the lobby for about an hour before becoming incapacitated. Witnesses reported seeing him "convulsing" on the floor.
Minutes later, at 5:17 P.M., Payne was found alone in his hotel room. He was pronounced dead shortly after falling from his balcony, suffering multiple blunt force trauma. Toxicology reports revealed a toxic mixture of drugs in his system, including crack and "pink cocaine."
Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy is devastated by the release of the CCTV footage. Speaking to The Post, a close friend of Cassidy said, "Whenever it seems it can't get more painful for Kate, it gets even more painful." Cassidy believes the footage shows that Payne "could have been saved" and questions why he was left alone in his room.
The footage is part of an ongoing investigation into Payne's death. Argentine police are reviewing over 800 hours of video footage and interviewing dozens of witnesses. Three individuals have been charged in connection with the incident, including Payne's close friend Rogelio "Roger" Nores and former hotel employee Braian Nahuel Paiz, who is alleged to have supplied him with drugs.
As the investigation continues, Cassidy remains heartbroken and is struggling to process the loss of her boyfriend. The shocking CCTV footage has only added to her pain, prompting questions about whether Payne's death could have been prevented.
