AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has reportedly reunited with her estranged son, Jayden James Federline. Sources tell Page Six that the 18-year-old took the initiative to reach out to his mother and mend their relationship.
Jayden texted Spears to inform her of his return to Southern California, where the "Toxic" singer resides. Spears was "very happy" to hear from him and welcomed him back.
The reunion has been in the works for some time, as Spears had previously contacted her sons in August 2023 and again on Mother's Day in June. Jayden, along with his older brother Sean Preston and father Kevin Federline, moved to Hawaii last year after their stepmother Victoria Prince obtained a job at the University of Hawaii.
Federline, the boys' father, expressed support for their decision to improve their relationship with their mother. A source close to the family stated that Spears is "thrilled to have her baby back."
The exact timeline of Jayden's stay in Los Angeles is unclear, but sources indicate that he is not residing with Spears at her mansion in Thousand Oaks. Preston, who is 19, remains in Hawaii.
Jayden is reportedly considering attending college in California, which may have influenced his visit to LA. It is unknown if Preston has plans to reunite with his mother at this time.
While Spears is overjoyed at the prospect of rebuilding her relationship with Jayden, it is anticipated that the reconciliation process will take time. Jayden has previously expressed a desire for his mother to "get better mentally" and has addressed concerns about her frequent nude photos.
Despite their estrangement, Spears dedicated her 2023 memoir "The Woman in Me" to both her sons, calling them "the loves of [her] life."
