Former 'Justice League' actor Ben Affleck opens up about insecurities as an actor over potential career loss and the impact of a single misstep in Hollywood.

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck has openly shared his concerns about the precariousness of his career in Hollywood. In an interview with Deadline alongside his friend Matt Damon, Affleck admitted, "I'm one errant remark away from being cancelled, or I'm one movie bomb away from never working again."

Affleck's fears stem from the understanding that the entertainment industry can be unpredictable and unforgiving. He believes that even the slightest misstep could jeopardize his livelihood.

"We're all subject to this sort of insecurity in this business. Whether we're actors or directors or writers, the phone could stop ringing for us," he noted. "This is the only thing I can count on, this upfront money. I don't know when this might go away."

To mitigate these risks, Affleck and Damon have established Artists Equity, a production company that aims to create fairer pay schemes. The company allows artists to invest in the projects they work on, ensuring that profits are distributed more equitably.

"I've been in movies like 'Gigli,' that's a famous example," Affleck offered his movie flop with estranged wife Jennifer Lopez as an example. "I got a big cash payday for that. Well, it doesn't feel right in retrospect because they lost money. ... That doesn't sit right with me."

Affleck's sentiments also underscore the financial challenges faced by Hollywood stars. Despite his previous success, he remains vulnerable to career setbacks that could threaten his financial stability.

The actor is currently navigating a divorce from Jennifer Lopez after two years of marriage. He was previously married to Jennifer Garner and has three children with her.
