The late One Direction singer was allegedly wearing the expensive item two to three hours before his fatal fall from his hotel room on the third floor at the CasaSur hotel last month. "We know, from images that were analyzed, that Liam was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death," police source told Argentinian Daily La Nacion.
"We looked for him in the room at the CasaSur hotel where he was staying and we couldn't find him," the insider added. The cops additionally failed to find the watch when they were raiding nine homes involved with the suspects under investigation for Liam's death.
A source shared, "The watch was searched for at the homes of the people accused of the crimes of abandonment of a person and supply and facilitation of narcotics and at the homes of the two women who were with Liam in the room the afternoon of his death."
It was said that the police are searching Liam's hotel room with a second inspection. The authorities sealed off the singer's room and searched 800 hours of security footage around his room. They additionally questioned 20 witnesses.
Recently, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 14 in Argentina released a press release regarding Liam's toxicology results. The report revealed that in the 72 hours leading up to his death, Liam's body contained traces of "alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants."
Prior to his passing, Liam had acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. In 2023, he completed a 100-day rehabilitation program in Louisiana.
During the press release, it was also announced that three individuals had been arrested and charged in connection with Liam's death. One suspect, who accompanied Liam on a daily basis, is accused of supplying drugs and abandoning him in a vulnerable state. The second suspect is a hotel employee who is charged with supplying cocaine to Liam on two occasions, while a third individual allegedly provided cocaine two days before his death.
Prosecutors also ruled out suicide with the forensic doctor concluding that Liam's death was caused by "multiple trauma" and "internal and external hemorrhage" as a result of the fall. It was also determined that he "was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall."
