AceShowbiz - On November 7, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 14 in Argentina released a press release stating that Liam Payne's toxicology results had been finalized and communicated to his family. The report revealed that in the 72 hours leading up to his death, Payne's body contained traces of "alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants."

Prior to his passing, Payne had acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. In 2023, he completed a 100-day rehabilitation program in Louisiana.

In addition to the toxicology findings, the press release also announced that three individuals had been arrested and charged in connection with Payne's death. One suspect, who accompanied Payne on a daily basis, is accused of supplying drugs and abandoning him in a vulnerable state. A hotel employee is charged with supplying cocaine to Payne on two occasions, while a third individual allegedly provided cocaine two days before his death.

Prosecutors further clarified that self-harm and physical intervention by third parties were ruled out as contributing factors. The forensic doctor concluded that Payne's death was caused by "multiple trauma" and "internal and external hemorrhage" as a result of the fall.

It was also determined that Payne "was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall."

Liam Payne's death has sparked worldwide mourning from fans and fellow musicians. One Direction, which he was a member of, has been on hiatus since 2016.
