The 'Super Bass' femcee, who previously called for Thugger's freedom on his song 'Money', celebrates the Atlanta emcee's release after he pleaded guilty in RICO case.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has reacted to Young Thug's sentence in his YSL RICO case. After the Atlanta rapper was released from jail on Thursday, October 31, the Trinidadian raptress celebrated the news with a heartfelt message.
The "Barbie World" hitmaker posted on her Instagram Story a welcome home message to Thugger, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams. "Welcome home @thuggerthugger1," she wrote, tagging his Instagram account.
"Don't leave again, the ppl need you. The game missed you," the Grammy-nominated artist continued. "So happy for you, your children, family & fans." She concluded her message with, "Happy Halloween. #ThugFree."
Prior to Thug's release, Nicki had publicly voiced her support for him via his song "Money", which was released in June 2023. On the song off Thugger's "Business Is Business (Metro's Version)", she whispers during her verse, "Wait…free Thug."
Thug was released on Thursday after accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. He pleaded no contest to two counts, conspiracy to violate Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and participation in criminal street gang activity. He pleaded guilty to six other counts related to drug possession and firearm violations.
The 33-year-old was sentenced to 40 years, with five years in prison. Judge Paige Whitaker also commuted the sentence to time served and 15 years' probation.
Besides Nicki, the likes of Travis Scott (II), Metro Boomin, Sexyy Red and T.I. have also celebrated Thugger's release. The "Stoner" emcee has not publicly addressed his sentence, but his lawyer Brian Stell said outside the court that his client is "happy" to be home.
