AceShowbiz - Despite his imprisonment, Tory Lanez is continuing his legal battle by pursuing an ethics complaint against Shawn Holley, an attorney who briefly represented him during his trial. Lanez alleges that Holley had prior business associations that she failed to disclose before taking on his case.
Specifically, Lanez claims that Holley is a producer on the television series "Reasonable Doubt," which featured Megan Thee Stallion's song and a song by Holley's daughter, who has worked with Beyonce Knowles. Lanez alleges that Holley had Roc Nation's best interests in mind when she represented him, since Megan is signed to the label.
Holley has dismissed these allegations as "meritless," claiming that Lanez attempted to make similar accusations a year ago that were rejected by the California State Bar. She also notes that "Roc Nation has nothing to do with the television show Reasonable Doubt."
Additionally, Lanez alleges that Holley quit representing him without giving him enough time to find a replacement attorney. He claims that Holley left him just five days before his sentencing, following his decision to pursue the "Kelsey defense," which blamed Kelsey Harris for shooting Megan. Holley, however, claims that she did not wish to pursue this defense because she did not find it viable.
Lanez is demanding the return of the money he paid Holley and seeks to have her reprimanded by the State Bar. Holley has maintained her innocence and says she is not worried about Lanez's allegations.
