AceShowbiz - Frankie Muniz, the former child star, is making a bold move by transitioning into a full-time NASCAR driver in 2025. Muniz, who began his racing journey in 2004, will be driving the No. 33 car for Reaume Brothers Racing in a Ford F-150 truck.
Muniz's passion for racing goes back over two decades, and he has been preparing for this moment. After his first professional race in 2006, he competed in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023, securing one top-five and 11 top-ten finishes, ultimately finishing fourth in the series. Since joining Ford Performance, he has raced in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the Mustang Challenge Series.
The decision to focus on racing was not a difficult one for Muniz. He credits his desire to be a role model for his son as a motivation. "I wanted him to grow up actually seeing me work hard and strive for a goal and not just be like, 'Oh, I used to be this actor,' " he said.
While Muniz acknowledges that he has a lot to prove, he is determined to make his mark in NASCAR. "I want people to know that I've literally dedicated my life to this," he said. "I'm training, I'm in the simulator, I'm working with my engineers and the team. I'm doing everything I can to be as prepared as humanly possible."
Muniz remains grateful for his past success as an actor, but he is excited about the challenges that lie ahead. "The kid from 'Malcolm in the Middle' is racing in NASCAR," he said. "And that's what people say, but I am. I did it."
Muniz's determination and passion are evident in his commitment to becoming a successful NASCAR driver. Fans can expect to see him on the track, putting in the work and turning heads in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
