AceShowbiz - Liam Payne were working on two TV projects before his tragic death on Wednesday, October 16. According to a new report, the two shows, "Building a Band" and "Boybands Forever", are currently in limbo.
The late singer was set to appear as a judge on Netflix's "Building the Band". He was spotted filming for the show in Manchester back in August. However, a source told The U.S. Sun that a huge question mark is left when it comes to the show's future following his passing.
"Building the Band" is planned to be a series aiming to find a new boyband with a team of experts. While it is set to premiere sometime next year, the streaming giant has yet to issue a statement regarding the plan for the project.
Liam's other project was a major documentary series, "Boybands Forever". Co-produced by Louis Theroux, the show faced a dilemma ahead of its supposed release.
"Boybands Forever" is set to explore the joy and pain of being in boybands, such as One Direction and Take That. Simon Cowell will be making an appearance on the show as he'll be talking about his memories of creating One Direction.
The 3-part is expected to air next month on BBC Two, but the network decided to push the air date back in the wake of Liam's passing.
Prior to this, it was reported that "Building the Band" would carry on despite Liam's death. It was said that Liam had a limited involvement in the show, which also features Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland as fellow judges, allowing for an easy replacement without significant delays. Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean had been tapped to serve as the host.
Liam passed away after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina on Wednesday, October 16. The 31-year-old singer was reportedly under the influence of "Cristal," a known hallucinogenic that can lead to aggressive behavior and hallucinations.
