AceShowbiz - Liam Payne, aged just 31, died on October 16 after falling multiple stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. According to sources from PEOPLE, Payne had been asked to leave another hotel, the Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, due to his disruptive behavior.
An insider revealed that Payne "was being a nuisance and disturbing the other guests and appeared intoxicated." The Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires provided no comment on the incident.
His final days at Casa Sur di Buenos Aires were also full of antics. According to guests, he argued about money with a woman, smashed his laptop, and ranted about his boyband days hours leading up to his tragic passing.
Pablo Policicchio, the communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, disclosed that the musician "jumped from the balcony" of his hotel room. The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the preliminary autopsy revealed Payne died from multiple injuries and internal and external hemorrhages after his fall.
Coroners identified 25 injuries, consistent with a fall from a great height, with head injuries alone deemed sufficient to cause death. Authorities also confirmed that there were no defensive injuries, and no third-party involvement was indicated. A toxicology report is still pending.
The shocking news prompted emotional tributes from Payne's former One Direction bandmates. Harry Styles shared an Instagram post expressing his devastation, stating, "His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honor to be alongside him as he did it."
Niall Horan, who had seen Payne on October 2 after a concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, conveyed his heartbreak, writing, "I sadly didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him, I would be saying goodbye forever."
Zayn Malik posted, "Liam, I have found myself talking out loud to you, hoping you can hear me, I can't help but think selfishly that there were so many more conversations for us to have in our lives." He concluded, "I hope that wherever you are right now you are good and are at peace and you know how loved you are. Love you bro."
