AceShowbiz - Erin Foster and Sara Foster, known for their podcast "The World's First Podcast," are using their platform to bring attention to the experiences of those enduring the complexities of IVF. In partnership with CCRM Fertility, a nationwide network of clinics, they have launched a limited edition line of T-shirts bearing the slogan "IVF, Baby."
For Erin, this initiative is deeply personal. The creator of the TV series "Nobody Wants This" has openly shared her own fertility struggles, undergoing over 20 IVF cycles. Despite the challenges, she believes it's crucial to break the stigma surrounding IVF and empower those going through it.
"IVF is not ideal, but it's a reality for many women," Erin tells PEOPLE. "By creating these shirts, we hope to inspire others to feel proud of their journeys and less alone in the process."
Sara, while fortunate to have had an easier path to pregnancy, acknowledges the far-reaching impact of IVF. She emphasizes that it touches LGBTQIA+ couples and families who may face unique challenges in starting a family.
"IVF has allowed so many families to be complete," Sara says. "It should be something that we openly discuss, and these T-shirts are a way to show your support and celebrate the beautiful families created through this process."
Erin also shares her experience of being pregnant and working on her Netflix series during her IVF journey. While physically challenging, the constant work and distractions allowed her to focus less on her worries. However, she admits to using a doppler to regularly monitor her daughter's heartbeat, finding solace in the reassurance it provided.
The Foster sisters believe that the "IVF, Baby" T-shirts will serve as a symbol of solidarity and a reminder that IVF families are not alone. They encourage those going through the process to embrace it with pride and support each other along the way.
