Sitting down for a new interview, the influencer admits her regret about the way she chose her words when answering questions on the WNBA star's podcast 'Unapologetically Angel'.

AceShowbiz - Kayla Nicole broke down in tears as she talked about the aftermath of her explosive interview with Angel Reese. After she received backlash from Taylor Swift's fans, the ex-girlfriend of Travis Kelce shared her regret about her choice of words when answering questions from the WNBA star.

Kayla appeared on "I Am Athlete" where she talked about her influence as a social media personality. Looking back, she admitted she might have changed some of her answers or provided no comment altogether at certain times to fully embody her character.

"I felt like there were moments where I articulated myself in a really good way and there were moments where if I could go back, I would maybe change the way that I said things because it didn't fully embody my character or my heart. But that's something that I'm learning," she confessed.

The 33-year-old got emotional as she divulged deeper about the backlash that she received following the interview. "I thought that I handled things with grace. I thought that I answered the questions to the best of my ability," she said while holding back tears. "The public had their interpretation of things -- didn't matter to me."

Kayla might not have cared about the chatter that came with the podcast, but her mother couldn't let it slide. "My mom calls me, though. And it's those conversations ... that's what matters to me because she's offended," she said.

Kayla claimed, "She's hurt by the way people are perceiving her daughter. She's hurt by the negative headlines and the way people are spinning it. And even my mom was like, 'Maybe next time, we don't answer those questions' and it's simple as that. Don't give it any energy. You don't always have to respond."

In an episode of "Unapologetically Angel" that was released last week, Kayla slammed "crazy" Swifties who still criticized her after Travis began dating the pop superstar. "I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn't impact me -- it does. Even to this day," she said.

"It is nothing to do with me. I don't know," Kayla explained. "I think that there's something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people and it's unfortunate because I've never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash."

Noticing the backlash over Kayla's comments, Angel seemingly responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, with three words, "Hating pays too," and a nail-painting emoji.
