AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes has left a fellow artist blown away by his emotional performance. The "If I Can't Have You" singer is showered with praise by Nikki Lund after bringing her to tears at his concert.

On Tuesday, October 15, Nikki shared her unforgettable experience attending one of Shawn's shows. Speaking to Daily Mail, the artist recalled watching the 26-year-old Canadian singer/songwriter perform at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee one day prior.

Nikki noted that the gig, which was held at the "small venue," was attended by a packed audience. She recounted, "Shawn came on stage on time and was amazing! His voice was incredible and guitar skills are surprisingly very good. I was so impressed and not expecting him to blow me away."

The musician went on to say, "He dedicated a song called Golden Heart to a friend of his from his past who he said died of an overdose. He did not name the friend but the two were clearly very close."

"Shawn said he misses him and it was a very emotional moment," Nikki continued. "I thought I saw Shawn tear up just a little because it was such a sad moment. The song brought a lot of audience members to tears, it was very emotional. I welled up too."

Nikki then stated, "He had recorded the song at Dark Horse Studios here in Nashville so it was all very close to him. When he said this the crowd ROARED - it was beautiful, everyone was so touched that he made this song in Nashville." She also said that "he played a Jeff Buckley cover hallelujah which was beautiful and just so perfect."

Nikki further explained, "He had two male friends he referred to as his 'family now' come out on stage he said he met on his hiatus. He said they got him through a very hard time, a tough time. Shawn did not say when this tough time happened but people in the audience were saying it was probably after he split from Camila Cabello. Everyone was wondering if the tough time was because of her and they called out her name," adding, "He ignored it."
