AceShowbiz - Frank Fritz, the charismatic star of the reality show "American Pickers", died on September 30, at the age of 60, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ. Fritz's death was caused by a stroke, which occurred as a result of cerebral vascular disease, a condition that affects blood flow in the brain.
He also suffered from aortic stenosis, a condition that narrows the aortic valve, reducing blood flow from the heart to the body, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Fritz's former co-host and close friend Mike Wolfe confirmed the news on Instagram, expressing his grief and sharing memories of their adventures together. They had traveled the country for over a decade, searching for unique antiques and artifacts in barns, garages, and junkyards.
Despite having a strained relationship at times, Wolfe and Fritz had reconciled, with Wolfe disclosing that Fritz had suffered a stroke in 2022. Wolfe was at Fritz's side when he passed away.
Fritz's manager Bill Stankey described him as an "exceptional human being" who cared deeply about people and had an extensive knowledge of Americana and antiques.
In addition to "American Pickers", Fritz also appeared on "American Dad!" and "Pawn Stars". He will be remembered for his infectious personality, passion for history, and ability to connect with viewers through his shared love of discovery.
