AceShowbiz - Teyana Taylor has hit back at Kayla Nicole over the latter's "distasteful" comments on her then-relationship with Iman Shumpert. The singer/actress called out the influencer, who recently shared a "crazy" story about dressing up as her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend to be petty.

Like many other social media users, Teyana quickly learned that Kayla was referring to her when she shared her story of being shady to her ex's girlfriend. On Friday, October 11, she responded to Kayla's remarks by posting her recent accomplishments, set to Taylor Swift's song "Shake it Off". She captioned the post, "I know 2025 gone hate to see a Taylor coming!!"

Teyana also left a lengthy comment on an Instagram post to vent her anger. "It's really crazy that everyone is allowed to bother me & be distasteful... EVERYBODY gets to play.. while I move with grace. ALWAYS! But now I wanna have a lil sagitarius fun too and it's a problem?" she wrote.

"F**k the iman part, I'm divorced and happily so," she claimed, "however her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for. She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said 'she was famous at the time' also said 'idc who see it' it was very distasteful and uncalled for. Most importantly she knew people would dig."

The 33-year-old complained about being dragged into the drama, adding, "So automatically my name is attached to the nonsense. At that point, she didn't need to '@' me, that was clearly a quick search. My name was trending without an @ before even saying a word. That's how I seen it! Lil On top of the fact the math wasn't mathing & the facts weren't fact'ing."

"However, the level of cringe factor was," she went on stressing. "Lol. I'm finding out just like the world that her intentions were ill and petty. She pulled the black card when it came to Taylor Swift, but in the same circle, turned around and tried to bully the black woman that was married to her situationship she claimed 'dumped her' for me. Dressing up like me for what?"

Insisting that she had nothing but love for Kayla prior to her recent comments, the "Gonna Love Me" songstress concluded, "Crazy part about it all is, I actually showed love under her pic when she posted it! Like I did the other 3736262626 people that dressed up as me for Halloween. Whole time I ain't even know she was being shady. Now I do. So in that case petty panties on I had my lil fun I said what I said & now im done and headed back to set!"

Kayla shaded Teyana and her then-relationship with Iman during her appearance on Angel Reese's "Unapologetically Angel" podcast. In the Thursday, October 10 episode, she was asked what "the pettiest thing she has done in a relationship."

"We weren't in [a] relationship, but this is probably one of my favorite crazy Kayla stories, because I don't have that many," Kayla told Angel. "But I'm a scorpio, and I have that crazy in me, though."

The Internet personality explained, "I was dating a guy, and he dumped me through a text message, and he dumped me for this singer/actress." She didn't identify the other woman, but instead said that she "was famous at the time."

"Dumped me for her. Lied about it for months, then popped out with her and became this public thing," Kayla claimed, adding that fans viewed them as a "celebrity iconic relationship." She said she was "devastated" about the breakup after she'd moved to New York to be with the unidentified man.

When the WNBA star assured her viewers that they wouldn't guess who her guest was talking about, Kayla asked, "Who cares?" if they do. Kayla went on to share her petty moment came when she dressed up as the singer and actress for Halloween that same year. "I dressed up as her. I dressed up as that lady for Halloween," she said with a smile. She added the "viral" pictures were still "there somewhere" on the internet.

Internet sleuths quickly pointed out old photos of Kayla dressed as Teyana when she starred in Kanye West's 2016 music video for "Fade". Teyana was married to Iman from 2016, but separated in 2023. The estranged couple shares two young daughters together.
