AceShowbiz - In a recent Instagram video, Lizzo, known for her hit songs "Good as Hell" and "Truth Hurts", shared her daily food consumption during her weight loss journey. Despite previously being vegan, Lizzo now incorporates animal protein into her meals.
To start her day, Lizzo opts for lemon water, egg white cups, cauliflower hashbrowns and fruit. Later, she enjoys okra water and a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap with ample mustard paired with homemade peach tea.
Lizzo attributes her weight loss to the inclusion of animal protein in her diet. She credits it with providing her with more energy and helping her lose weight. "After tests and research, I found that animal proteins helped me have more energy, lose weight, and helped with my mental fog," she said in the video.
While Lizzo acknowledges that a vegan diet remains the healthiest, she aspires to adopt a raw alkaline vegan diet in the future. However, the Cleveland Clinic cautions that the alkaline diet lacks proven health benefits and that the body naturally regulates pH levels.
Lizzo emphasizes that her video addresses a "sensitive" subject and encourages viewers to prioritize their own well-being. "Do what's best for you in your life at that moment," she advises.
Despite her explanation, some fans expressed disappointment with her decision to consume animal products, arguing that adequate protein can be obtained through a vegan diet. However, others defended Lizzo's choice, recognizing that she has the right to make informed decisions about her body.
