AceShowbiz - Lil Yachty's personal drama has recently taken a turn involving his podcast, "A Safe Place". After co-host MitchGoneMad hinted at the show's demise, Joe Budden seized the opportunity to troll Yachty on his own podcast.
Since June 2023, Yachty has co-hosted "A Safe Place", featuring notable rappers as guests. However, MitchGoneMad's tweets suggested that the podcast may be on its last legs. When asked about a new episode, he joked, "I think bro rolling up that podcast in a backwood as we speak."
Budden gleefully celebrated the news, playing Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" and referencing Drake's "Energy". He has a long-standing feud with Yachty, dating back to a 2017 episode of "Everyday Struggle" where he criticized Yachty's "mumble rap."
The tension escalated when Yachty confronted Mitch during the recent Key Glock episode for giving career advice to the Memphis rapper. Yachty accused Mitch of benefiting from his connection to Yachty, who had helped launch his career.
Budden seized upon this conflict, alluding to their past disputes over the state of rap and their contrasting views on artistry. He questioned Yachty's music career, labeling him as a representative of "wrong" modern rap.
Despite his critics, Yachty has been exploring new sounds and evolving his artistry, departing from his earlier bubblegum trap sound. However, Budden maintains his criticisms, holding Yachty accountable for his early music.
