The 'Texas Hold 'Em' hitmaker's country album, which sparked conversations about black artists in country music, is making a push for glory at the upcoming awards.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles has officially submitted her album "Cowboy Carter" for consideration in the Best Country Album category at the 2025 Grammy Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The submission comes after a controversial snub at last month's Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, where the album received zero nominations.
"Cowboy Carter", released in March, topped the charts and is credited with ushering in a Black Country music renaissance in contemporary music. The album features collaborations with icons like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Miley Cyrus.
If nominated, Beyonce would become one of the few artists to earn Grammy nods across multiple genres, including country, R&B, rap, pop, rock and dance.
Her previous attempt to break into country music with "Daddy Lessons" from her 2016 album "Lemonade" was rejected by the Grammy's country committee. However, "Cowboy Carter" is receiving widespread praise for its authentic sound and modern yet traditional approach to the genre.
The Grammy voting process is ongoing, with nominations to be announced on November 8, 2024. The live GRAMMYs 2025 ceremony will air on February 2, 2025, from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
