AceShowbiz - Drake recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing his basketball court, located within a ritzy sports room. The room features a flatscreen TV and a "pyramidal skylight," according to an interview with Architectural Digest. The court is regulation size, spanning 50,000 square feet.
Designed by Ferris Rafauli, The Embassy boasts high luxury materials such as limestone, exotic woods, and bronze. With a 40-foot ceiling and an limestone entryway, the "modern Art Deco" pad reflects Drake's desire for a structure that would stand firm for 100 years.
In July 2023, the mansion experienced flooding due to torrential rain in the Toronto area. Drake shared a video of himself walking through ankle-deep water in the house. The flooding caused significant damage, as seen in the video.
Despite the damage, Drake has invested heavily in his mansion, which includes an indoor swimming pool, a state-of-the-art recording studio, and a 3,200-square-foot primary bedroom. His favorite spot in the house is his bedroom, which boasts a 1,100-square-foot covered terrace and a unique floating bed with a whiskey-and-champagne bar.
Drake's mansion is a testament to his success and his desire to leave a lasting legacy in his hometown. While the flooding caused damage, it has not diminished the luxury and grandeur of The Embassy.
