AceShowbiz - Katy Perry's daughter, Daisy Dove, is stepping into the spotlight at just four years old. On Friday, September 20, the pop star released her seventh studio album, "143," featuring an adorable musical debut by Daisy. She sings alongside Perry on the album's final track, "Wonder," charming listeners with her sweet voice as she starts and ends the song with heartfelt questions about the future.
The track begins with Daisy's innocent vocals singing, "One day, when we're older / Will we still look up in wonder?" She concludes the song with a pondering tone, "One day, when we're older / Will we still look up in wonder? / Someday, when we're wiser / Will our hearts still have that fire?"
Katy's partner, Orlando Bloom, also plays a supportive role in her musical journey, alongside his son Flynn, 13, who shares a keen ear for music. Perry shared with Audacy that Flynn has never once asked her to ditch a song, and even has his favorites on the new album, like "All the Love." She fondly recalls that Flynn showed early approval for her hit, "Never Really Over."
While music runs strongly through the family, Perry humorously noted that she refrains from having a full album listening party at home. "My family, they're telling me to move or take the trash out... They've had enough of me," Perry joked.
Daisy's realization of her mother's stardom has been another heartwarming aspect. During an appearance on "The One Show" on the BBC, Perry shared a humorous anecdote about how Daisy has started to call her "Katy Perry" when she's not paying attention. "I will only ever be 'Mommy' to you! I earned this!" Perry playfully told her daughter.
Interestingly, Daisy has taken a liking to Perry's songs, boldly singing out "Roar" with all her might. However, not all songs are mom-approved. Perry admitted with a laugh that her daughter has also been singing "Peacock," a track known for its double entendres from Perry's 2010 album. "And now I know what every parent went through in 2008. And I'm sorry!" Perry chuckled, referring to the song's suggestive lyrics.
As Daisy Dove starts to find her voice both musically and socially, it's clear that Katy Perry's family life is as dynamic and captivating as her career.
