AceShowbiz - Season 19 of "America's Got Talent" is one step closer to crowning its winner. In the season 19 finale, airing on Tuesday, September 17, Top 10 finalists took the stage as they vied for the grand prize.
Kicking off the night was judge Sofia Vergara's Golden Buzzer Hakuna Matata Acrobats. The group had one slip in their first trick, but recovered well. Judge Howie Mandel said that Hakuna Matata Acrobats could be more dangerous than the Ramadhani Brothers. Simon Cowell was impressed, saying that it "got crazier and bigger."
Dee Dee Simon, who earned Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum, performed next, singing a new rendition of "Take Me to Church". Heidi gushed, saying that Dee Dee Simon "keeps getting better and better" every round. Meanwhile, Simon said she showed "what it means to sing well."
Acrobatic duo Sebastian and Sonia thankfully was able to reunite that night after Sonia recovered from her injury. Simon thought their performance was "amazing," while Howie loved the choice of music. As for Heidi, she noted that Sebastian and Sonia "did everything [they] could" and it was "still beautiful."
Australian dance group Brent Street, the winner of Howie's Golden Buzzer, hit the stage, showing off their skills with their versatile staging props. Heidi said they've "never missed," while Sofia called their performance "perfection" that is "so much fun to watch."
Third generation magician Solange Kardinaly performed next. She took the stage to do her own quick change outfits that impressed the judges. Simon dubbed the act "incredible, incredible, incredible," adding that Solange's combination of magic and quick change was "so unique and popular." Sofia called her "so much fun to watch," while Howie believed that Solange was the one act that he thought could "have her own room in Vegas."
Following it up was Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi, who was host Terry Crews' Golden Buzzer choice. For his finale set, Learnmore talked about airport behavior as well as dating experiences. Sofia called him one of her favorite comedians in all her time on the show. Simon, meanwhile, praised Learnmore for making jokes out of things other people see as normal.
AIRFOOTWORKS, who got Golden Buzzer from Howie, later performed their routine to Coldplay's "Higher Power". Heidi said it was a "top notch" performance, with Sofia saying that it's "so beautiful and so fun."
Performing next was singer Richard Goodall, who offered his rendition of "Faithfully". Heidi gushed over the janitor, whom she gave her Golden Buzzer previously, while Simon noted that "never crumbled" in the competition.
As for dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm, they created a performance for tonight about "learning to accept yourself" for the finale performance. They usedg almost 80% of moves that they've never done together before that night and Simon called it "perfection." Heidi called them adorable, while Howie said it's incredible to have a dancing dog in the competition.
Concluding the night, drone artists Sky Elements opted to honor America and his dream. The routine featured images of a young child reading a book, the Statue of Liberty, a cowboy, a train and a soaring bald eagle. Simon found the performance "very emotional." Heidi appreciated the American dream narrative that she's lived, while Howie said it was a "great celebration."
Results for season 19 finale will be revealed on Tuesday, September 24.
