The iconic Canadian actress, who is best known for her role on 'Baywatch' series, will be recognized for her remarkable career at the 20th Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), receiving the festival's Golden Eye Award.

AceShowbiz - Pamela Anderson will be bestowed with the Golden Eye Award in honor of her "versatile career." The presentation will take place on October 4 at the 2024 Zurich Festival, where Anderson will also introduce her most recent feature, "The Last Showgirl", directed by Gia Coppola.

In "The Last Showgirl", which debuted in Toronto, Anderson plays Shelley, a 50-year-old showgirl confronting the end of her long-running Las Vegas show. Critics have praised Anderson's performance, calling it "heartbreaking" and "Oscar-worthy." The film co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Shelley's colleague and Kiernan Shipka as her estranged daughter.

ZFF Artistic Director Christian Jungen commended Anderson's performance, stating that it "deserves an Oscar nomination." The film explores themes of aging, identity, and the pursuit of dreams in the face of adversity.

Anderson and director Coppola will present "The Last Showgirl" to the festival audience after the Golden Eye Award ceremony. Other notable figures being honored at Zurich this year include Alicia Vikander, Jude Law and Kate Winslet.

Additionally, Roeg Sutherland, co-head of CAA's Media Finance department and its International Film Group, will receive ZFF's Game Changer Award for his contributions to the film industry.

The 20th Zurich Film Festival will take place from October 3-13, showcasing a diverse selection of films and honoring the achievements of esteemed individuals within the entertainment world.
