After missing out on a nomination for the Academy Awards, 'The Last Showgirl' actress Pamela Anderson shares her thoughts about the omission, saying she 'couldn't imagine it anyway.'

AceShowbiz - Pamela Anderson has reacted to her omission from the 2025 Oscar nominations after receiving critical acclaim for her performance in "The Last Showgirl." The 57-year-old actress said she was not surprised by the snub.

"It's not something I ever expected. Doing the work is the win," she told Elle. "I think we can lose sight of that sometimes in this whole crazy awards season, but it's nice to be recognized, and it's all a bonus."

Anderson, who received lead actress nominations for the Golden Globes, Gotham Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, added, "I couldn't imagine [an Oscar nomination] anyway. I'm happy for the SAG nomination, that's [voted on by] your peers. That's really cool."

The actress has previously spoken about the significance of this role in her career, saying it is "the beginning of my career" and that she "has a lot to do yet."

"The Last Showgirl" has been praised for Anderson's performance as Shelly, an aging Las Vegas showgirl facing a crossroads in her career. The film is considered a career comeback for the actress, who was criticized due to her bombshell image.

Anderson's comments come after she expressed her gratitude for the awards buzz surrounding her performance, describing it as "the best payback" after the release of an explicit tape in the '90s that damaged her reputation.
