Another celebrated TV figure at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards is screenwriter, producer and director Greg Berlanti, who is honored with the 2024 Governors Award.

AceShowbiz - The 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards handed out more winners to the best figures in television. Taking place at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California on Sunday, September 15, the ceremony was an unforgettable moment for "Fargo" star Lamorne Morris.

Lamorne successfully fellow nominees Jonathan Bailey, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Goodman-Hill, Lewis Pullman and Treat Williams when he was named as the winner of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie prize. He began his speech by thanking God, his mom and his 4-year-old daughter Lily, teasing, "I told you I would do it, you always doubted me."

The actor additionally expressed his gratitude to "folks at FX, my beautiful cast, my management team." He later gave Robert a shout-out as he begged the "Iron Man" actor to sign a poster of him at his house.

Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series went to "Slow Horses" writer Will Smith. As for Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, the prize was honored to Richard Gadd for her work on Netflix's "Baby Reindeer". Marking another win for "The Bear", director Christopher Storer won Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.

Another celebrated TV figure that night was screenwriter, producer and director Greg Berlanti, who was honored with the 2024 Governors Award. Meanwhile, FX's "Shogun", which was the most decorated series at this year's Emmys with 25 nominations, nabbed its first Emmy win as Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series went to Frederick E.O. Toye.

Later, Richard Gadd returned to the stage to take the award of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for his performance on "Baby Reindeer". The limited series further added more wins to its collection as it was named as the best limited or anthology series that night.

Jodie Foster, on the other hand, was presented with Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie prize for her role on "True Detective: Night Country". It marked her first Emmy win throughout her career after four previous nominations.

The actress took home the award after beating fellow nominees Brie Larson ("Lessons in Chemistry"), Juno Temple ("Fargo"), Naomi Watts ("Feud: Capote vs. The Swans") and Sofia Vergara ("Griselda").
