Jumping to their father's defense, Justin Combs and King Combs share a video in which a social media user discusses Diddy's relationship with Dawn and his attorney's response to the lawsuit.

AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' sons have reacted to a new lawsuit from Dawn Richard. Jumping to their father's defense, Justin Combs and Christian Combs a.k.a. King Combs have shared on their Instagram Stories a video in which a social media user explained the embattled rapper's relationship with the Danity Kane singer prior to the lawsuit.

In the video, the user highlighted Diddy and Dawn's amicable professional relationship for years. She also included a video in which the "Making the Band 3" contestant said Diddy had been supportive of her and that she had nothing but love for him.

The user then shared a screenshot of a statement from Diddy's attorney in response to Dawn's lawsuit. In the statement issued on Wednesday, September 11, Erica Wolff said, "Mr. Combs is shocked and disappointed by this lawsuit. In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a pay day -- conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour."

She added, "If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on 'The Love Album' last year. It's unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court."

Dawn, whose real name is Dawn Angelique Richard, sued her former boss on Tuesday, accusing him of sexual assault and inhumane treatment. She claims she witnessed him physically abuse his ex Cassie multiple times.

Dawn accuses the Bad Boy Records founder of manipulating her by promising to advance her singing career if she relented to his alleged twisted demands. She says that she was subjected to verbal abuse by the rapper, who allegedly called contestants "fat," "ugly," "b***hes" and "h*es."

Dawn recalls another incident in 2005 in which she allegedly saw Diddy's former girlfriend Kim Porter crying as she left a music studio with her face all banged up. Four years later, in 2009, she says she witnessed Diddy, who was allegedly "high on drugs", throw Cassie against the wall, choke her and drag her up a flight of stairs in his Los Angeles home.

At some point, when she and her Dirty Money bandmate Kalenna Harper tried to support Cassie and urge her to leave Diddy, he allegedly threatened them, "Y'all b***hes don't get in my relationship," "Just make money and shut the f**k up" and "You b***hes want to die today?"

The lawsuit also states that Diddy sexually assaulted Dawn numerous times by touching her near her breasts and butt while she was undressed in a changing room. "Mr. Combs frequently smacked Ms. Richard's bare buttocks and often commented on her body, noting that although she was 'too skinny,' she had an 'ass,' " the lawsuit reads.

Diddy is currently facing several lawsuits alleging sexual assault and sex trafficking. His legal drama started when Cassie sued him in November 2023. He quickly settled the lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend, though he insisted that there's no truth to the singer's claims.
