AceShowbiz - James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has responded to speculation that "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt may be joining the DC Universe. In a series of comments on Threads, Gunn confirmed that he and Pratt frequently discuss the possibility of Pratt crossing over from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A fan asked if the rumors about Pratt were true, which led to the DC Studios co-CEO saying, "I don't even know what rumor you're talking about." Once another fan explained that the rumor was about Gunn and Pratt having talks about the actor joining the DC Universe franchise, the filmmaker said the following, "He's a close friend," Gunn stated. "We talk about that all the time."

While Gunn did not provide any specific details about potential roles for Pratt, fan suggestions have ranged from Booster Gold, a time-traveling superhero, to Adam Strange, an archaeologist and explorer.

Gunn clarified that Pratt's future in both the MCU and DCU remains uncertain, saying, "I don't know if it's going to happen, but we talk about all sorts of things."

Meanwhile, Gunn teased the casting of another "Guardians" cast member in the DCU. When asked who from the "Guardians" franchise he would like to see in his universe, Gunn responded, "Well, that would be a spoiler, wouldn't it?"

The DC Universe is currently undergoing a major revamp under Gunn and Peter Safran's leadership, with several projects in development, including "Superman", "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" and "Booster Gold".
