AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck appeared to be in good spirits during an outing over the weekend. The "Gone Girl" star, who is divorcing from Jennifer Lopez, looked cheerful while taking his two youngest kids out for ice cream in Los Angeles.

On Friday evening, August 23, the actor dressed casually while stepping out with Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. He looked content in a green button-down top that he paired with khakis and black and white Nike sneakers.

Seraphina, meanwhile, wore an oversized gray sweater that read "Farm Camp" in green print and cargo shorts. As for Samuel, he sported a blue graphic T-shirt and gray sweats.

While Ben seemed to be in a good mood on Friday, he put on a gloomy display on Thursday evening when he took Seraphina to the movies with some friends. He was photographed tending to his phone at the time, wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt over a gray T-shirt, khaki pants and Nike sneakers.

Both outings came after J.Lo filed to end her marriage to Ben. She filed the divorce petition on Tuesday, August 20, coinciding the second anniversary of their wedding. In the petition, she included a request to restore her maiden name after the divorce is granted.

The estranged couple reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement. This could lead to a battle over assets, including their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Perhaps adding more pressure to Ben right now, his estranged wife is said to be giving him the "silent treatment" as she's still in disbelief that their rekindled romance ended in such a "humiliating" fashion after just two years of marriage.

"Now Ben and J.Lo are giving each other the silent treatment," sources told RadarOnline.com. "J.Lo doesn't know how it came to this. She really thought she'd finally found her happily-ever-after – and then Ben pulled the rug out from under her. She's putting up a brave front in public, but she's seething on the inside."
