After sharing photos of her fixing the former president's tie and sharing a cheek kiss with him while holding her dog, the 'View' co-host is called out by journalist April Reign.

AceShowbiz - Ana Navarro has come under fire following her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. During day 2 of the convention in Chicago, she was hosting the event and ran into Barack Obama backstage, and she couldn't help but brag about it.
On Wednesday, August 21, a day after the second day of DNC, Navarro took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share photos of her encounter with the former president. In one of the pictures, she was seen touching Obama on the chest.
Another snap saw "The View" co-host sharing a cheek kiss with the 63-year-old politician while she was holding her dog with one of her hands. In the caption, she wrote, "Somebody had to fix his tie. So Chacha and I pitched-in."
Navarro locked the comments for an unknown reason, but that didn't stop people from sharing their take on it. One user in particular, journalist April Reign, took issue with the Daytime Emmy nominee's highlight of her encounter with Obama.
"Girl, delete this. You are not that somebody, or whatever Aaliyah said. You know this is out of bounds, which is why you locked the responses," Reign wrote while reposting Navarro's tweet. She added in another tweet, "Because what you NOT gon do is imply YOU needed to fix his tie, when Michelle was right around the corner in the green room. You and your purse dog need to remember your place, and it's not within tie distance of our POTUS. Like literally how dare you."
Many apparently agreed with Reign, with one irritated user writing, "Not that it matters, but I remember her being very critical of him when he was in office. Now she's the fixer? Lol." Another claimed, Honestly I walked out of the room as soon as she started speaking. Why was she even given a mic??"
"His tie didn't need fixing," someone pointed out. One other remarked, "Even though Navarro is a Never 45, she still out of line. If Michelle Obama was around she would've never done that TRUST."
Accusing Navarro of being a hypocrite, someone added, "She didn't even vote for Obama for either of his terms. She only voted Democrat when the Republicans chose Trump over Jeb Bush in 2016. But glad to see the left lets her speak. She's Hispanic so it looks good."
Some others, however, thought that the critics were being too serious. "Relax, she knows them. She is happily married. Fan of Mrs. Obama," one of them countered the backlash.
Another hit back at the criticism, "You just don't like her and was waiting for a moment to hate out loud! How embarrassing for you to defend a man that's NOT yours, who clearly has no problems with what she did, since he responded with a kiss on her cheek! Also, the responses are locked most likely to avoid the trumpsters from commenting on the post! But what a lovely way to try and make it something it's not. Again, embarrassing!"
Navarro hosted the second day of DNC in Chicago on Tuesday, August 20. She brought her dog ChaCha, telling Variety that the pooch "immediately took on the role of emotional support poodle for the entire convention."
