AceShowbiz - It looks like Mike Tyson is more than ready to fight Jake Paul later this year. During a press conference at Fanatics Fest at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, Iron Mike shoved his rival a couple of times while laughing.
The 58-year-old athlete seemed to be in good spirits during the whole exchange with the YouTuber. The younger brother of Logan Paul, in the meantime, appeared not too happy about the champ clowning him in front of all those cameras.
During the Sunday, August 18 event, Mike also boasted about being ready for the bout against Jake. "Who else can do it but me? Who else is he going to fight to make this happen?" he declared. "We've just got to listen to the facts. We've got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that ever lived."
Mike and Jake's eagerly awaited fight was originally scheduled for July 20. However, Netflix, which will livestream the event, announced that it had to be pushed back following Mike's ulcer flare-up.
Addressing the situation, Mike stated, "I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time." He added, "Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover."
"My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon," the professional boxer continued. "Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone's patience and can't wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year."
